Božidar Vlačić holds the position of Assistant Professor at Católica Porto Business School and serves as the Scientific Coordinator of the Research Centre in Management and Economics (CEGE) at Universidade Católica Portuguesa in Portugal. He is a visiting scholar at the Faculty of Economics and Business, University of Zagreb in Croatia, and a visiting research fellow at RMIT University in Australia. He earned his International Ph.D. with honors in Economic Analysis and Business Strategy from the University of Vigo, the University of Santiago, and the University of A Coruña in Spain in 2018. His contributions have been published in reputable journals such as the International Business Review, Journal of Business Research, Technovation, Journal of Small Business Management, IEEE Transactions on Engineering Management, Technological Forecasting and Social Change, Journal of Intellectual Capital, and European Journal of International Management. Furthermore, Božidar Vlačić actively contributes to the academic community by serving as an associate editor at the Technology in Society journal, an associate editor of the Journal of Enterprising Communities, and an editorial board member of the Strategic Change Journal. He is a member of the Academy of International Business, the European International Business Academy (EIBA), and co-chairs the EIBA Early Career Network. His research encompasses three intersecting domains: the strategies employed by companies in internationalization and foreign market entry, the influence of networks and resources on decision-making within internationally operating enterprises, and the impact on innovation capabilities.
